Introduction: Trump made the following statements during the GOP debate in Detroit, Michigan on March 3, 2016.

Note 1: When Fox News moderator Chris Wallace turned the focus of debate onto Foreign Policy he asked Senator Rubio to comment on Trump's stance on Russia. Trump makes the following three remarks in answer to Rubio:

on Putin: Putin said about me -- I didn't say about Putin -- Putin said very nice things about me. (2016/03/03)

on Russia: And I say very nicely, wouldn't it be nice if actually we could get along with Russia, we could get along with foreign countries, instead of spending trillions and trillions of dollars? (2016/03/03)

on Russia: Wouldn't it be nice if we got along with the world, and maybe Russia could help us in our quest to get rid of ISIS, et cetera, et cetera?(Match 3, 2016)

Note 2: Towards the end of the debate, after Wallace shows a video about Trump and Putin that Governor Kasich had used in his campaign, Trump makes the following remark:

on Vladimir Putin: I think I'd get along very well with Vladimir Putin. (2016/03/03)

Note 3: Afterwards, in response to remarks of Ted Cruz about Snowden Trump says:

on Russia: And if Russia respected our country, they would have sent him back immediately, but he was a spy. (2016/03/03)

Note 4: Here is the full paragraph from which the first three comments are taken:

on Russia: Let me just tell you, first of all, I've been hearing this man so long talking about Putin. Putin said about me -- I didn't say about Putin -- Putin said very nice things about me. And I say very nicely, wouldn't it be nice if actually we could get along with Russia, we could get along with foreign countries, instead of spending trillions and trillions of dollars? You're talking about Flint, Michigan. You're talking about places -- we need to rebuild the infrastructure of our country. Wouldn't it be nice if we got along with the world, and maybe Russia could help us in our quest to get rid of ISIS, et cetera, et cetera? (CROSSTALK)
